Home - sweet, sweet home. It's so good to be back, to laugh at my mom's antics again, to hide from dad's freezing hands when he annoyingly tries to wake me up to say bye before he goes to work, to read at family worship, to hug them goodnight ... back to Perth tomorrow bright and early though, then to a planning weekend for ASA (Adventist Students Association, for the uninitiated). Busy weekend! And then after that, back to uni and Tiffy's birthday. To which neither I nor Deepak have gotten invites yet, we're just assuming that we're invited! *nudges Tiffany*

Anyway, it's a big jump from the city to the little country town that I hail from.

Day One, dad hands me a shovel and I spend the morning shovelling dirt for our impromptu flower/herb/vege bed. A week ago I was studying and partying at end of the midsems. Now I'm shovelling. *lol* And playing assistant cook to the master chef that is my mother. Come the afternoon and it starts POURING with rain, so dad and I start the fire ...

Day Two, and it's 13 degrees outside and it's still pouring with rain. So much for laundry. The fire died ages ago.

Day Three. Cold. Raining. I picked tomatoes! Mom made curry and roti prata, so take that! And my fingers smelt of curry. *yum* :)

Day Four (today) ... it was freaking 3 degrees this morning, and the fields were white with frost. Perth's warm, right? Manji's never heard of "warm".
