So, for his birthday, Tim has decided that we are to perform at an open mic night.

From what I've picked up, it seems like there is this tradition of asking friends to do various things in lieu of presents. After the initial panic and shitting myself, it doesn't seem all that bad, and at the very least I can say that I've done it ("aw, mom, we've heard that a million times already!"). We did go check out the place, and with all the people that Tim's invited we should be able to flood the place, so then we would be spared embarassing ourselves in front of strangers. Although I am unsure if that is any better. And a good half are emergency doctors that I will in all probability have to impress in later life.

Another item to be crossed off the list of things to do before I die. At least I will be able to claim youth and stupidity.
