comment (0) Well, lucky lucky me. I went to work today and got stung by something angry all down my right arm, so now I am in the highly enviable position of having one sunburnt arm and one mildly swollen arm. Great, eh. Thinning out karri out now, consists of sitting around staring at trays on a conveyor belt, I'm gonna get a fat ass if I'm not careful- looks like I have to go jogging after all! In that case maybe I'll get to work my stamina up as well. Wishful thinking, but I might as well try. Came back 2 days ago from Busselton, complete with sunburn and the conception of the sprawling city as the perfect holiday-makers' paradise. It’s got fabulous white beaches, mildly warm water (depending on where you are), and the sea is sparkling and crystal clear. Beautiful shade of blue, too. Spent all Sunday afternoon bumming at the beach, attempting to sketch people and swimming (or attempting to swim). Monday we headed down to Dunsborough, had a look around the town, where I promptly went into the first bookstore I saw and bought a book to relieve my withdrawal pangs. So Chelle is currently reading The New Penguin History of the World, and finding it very interesting indeed. Pity I can't finish it in one sitting like I used to, have to sleep early and work now. Places of interest include the Naturaliste lighthouse (the view from the top is amazing), and Sugarloaf Rock (isn't that such a novel name?). The sea at Sugarloaf Rock is AWESOME, the water is WARM, and it's the perfect snorkeling site. Seriously. It's sheltered and has all these seagrass beds. Oh yeah, when I was there I watched these 3 crazy guys dive off the cliffs into the water. Brave suicidal souls. One day when I'm rich and famous I'll get meself a beach shack in Geographe Bay, it's a beautiful place. Oh, and Clare and Tiff? There's a place called The Moon in Northbridge which sounds really cool (heard of it?), I vote we go there one night when we're all back in Perth and eat strawberry pizza, drink margaritas, and be merry. Girls' night out (Flick IS included but I doubt she would want to come) – any seconders? |
